The Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League (PRIBL) is proud to offer athletes from across Puerto Rico, the U.S., and around the world the opportunity to play in our league. To make this experience truly unforgettable, we invite members of our community to become part of the PRIBL Host Family Program.
By opening your home to a PRIBL player, you are not only providing a place to stay—you are becoming part of their baseball journey and creating bonds that last a lifetime.
Why Be a Host Family?
Support the Athletes: Many players travel from different regions and countries to pursue their dreams. A host family provides them with a safe, welcoming home during the season.
Cultural Exchange: Share Puerto Rican culture while learning about your player’s background, traditions, and experiences.
Lasting Friendships: Many host families and players form lifelong relationships that continue well beyond the season.
Community Impact: Help PRIBL grow by being part of a program that connects baseball with family and local pride.
What’s Expected of Host Families?
Provide a clean, safe living space (private bedroom preferred).
Offer access to basic amenities such as laundry and Wi-Fi.
Provide some meals (details can be coordinated with the league and the player).
Treat the player as part of your household, with kindness and respect.
(PRIBL will ensure all host families receive guidance and direct support throughout the program.)
What Do Host Families Receive?
Two season tickets for all PRIBL home games.
Special recognition as an official PRIBL Host Family (website and game announcements).
Unique experiences: invitations to special events and opportunities to meet players and coaches.
A lifetime connection with a young athlete pursuing their dreams.
How Long is the Commitment?
Host families are generally asked to house a player for the duration of the PRIBL season (4–6 weeks, depending on the program). Flexibility is available for families who may only be able to host part of the time.
