WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of being permitted to participate in any activities organized by the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Independiente de Puerto Rico, Inc., doing business as the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League (collectively referred to as "PRIBL"), in any capacity—including but not limited to playing in league games, practices, tryouts, coaching, or being present on the field, in a dugout, or a spectator area for any purpose whatsoever—and fully understanding that participation in the game of baseball entails the risk of serious personal injury, I hereby expressly assume all risks of injury, including but not limited to permanent disability, paralysis, and fatality.
I further unconditionally release, indemnify, and hold harmless, even in the event of their negligence, the following parties: Carlos Nuñez; Liga de Béisbol Profesional Independiente de Puerto Rico, Inc. d/b/a Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League; any other members, officers, volunteers, game officials, or persons affiliated with PRIBL; all landowners of facilities that may sanction or give permission for the use of facility for play or practice; any governmental agencies involved with PRIBL or the facilities at which games or practices may take place; any organizations involved in the sponsorship of teams competing within PRIBL; from all claims for damage or injuries of any kind, now or in the future.
Additionally, I affirm that I am physically fit to participate in PRIBL's daily activities. I hereby authorize PRIBL staff to act on my behalf in the event of a medical emergency.
I agree to comply with all League Rules established by PRIBL and acknowledge that I accept any suspensions or disciplinary actions deemed appropriate by PRIBL officials, at their sole discretion, in response to any conduct on my part that violates said rules.
Furthermore, I grant PRIBL and its authorized agents the right to use my likeness in photographs, video recordings, motion pictures, or other media records for any lawful and reasonable purpose without expectation of compensation.
I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY AGREEING TO IT, AND HAVE AGREED TO IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE, OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY AGREEMENT TO BE COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
