The Pioneers Return: The Players Who Helped Build PRIBL Reunite to Shape Its Future

The Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League (PRIBL) proudly announces the return of those who helped lay its foundation. In a meaningful move, several former players who were part of the league’s early evolution are now returning as strategic allies in this new era, committed to the growth and advancement of independent baseball in Puerto Rico.

This initiative stands as living proof of PRIBL’s promise of a “new contract with Puerto Rican baseball.” The pioneers who once carried the dream of the league now return as architects of its future, bringing experience, entrepreneurial vision, and an unwavering belief in Puerto Rico’s athletic potential.

Among them is Dalton Cornett, an athlete who embodies the type of story PRIBL seeks to inspire. A former PRIBL player during the league’s formative years, Cornett is now an active professional player, entrepreneur, and founder of the sports brand DC3, recognized for its high-performance bats, gloves, and equipment. He is also one of the standout figures of the Savannah Bananas, the team that has redefined sports entertainment on a global scale.

“Every time I played in Puerto Rico, I felt the energy, the culture, the pride — there’s nothing like it,” said Dalton Cornett. “For me, being part of PRIBL is about more than baseball. It’s about representing that spirit and helping create opportunities for other players to chase their dreams at home.”

Cornett’s participation, along with other returning players, will take shape across multiple key areas within PRIBL’s new structure:

Los Pioneros Regresan: Los Jugadores que Forjaron la PRIBL se Unen para Construir su Futuro

MAYAGÜEZ, PR — En la PRIBL creemos que una visión para el futuro es poderosa, pero una visión respaldada por el pasado es imparable. La Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League (PRIBL) anuncia con orgullo el regreso de quienes ayudaron a construir sus cimientos. En un gesto lleno de significado, varios jugadores que formaron parte de la evolución inicial de la liga regresan ahora como aliados estratégicos de esta nueva era, comprometidos con el crecimiento y desarrollo del béisbol independiente en Puerto Rico.

Este movimiento representa una prueba viva de la promesa de PRIBL de un “nuevo contrato con el béisbol boricua.” Los pioneros que una vez cargaron con el sueño de la liga ahora regresan como arquitectos de su futuro, aportando experiencia, visión empresarial y una fe inquebrantable en el potencial deportivo de Puerto Rico.

Entre ellos destaca Dalton Cornett, un atleta que encarna el tipo de historia que la liga busca inspirar. Exjugador de PRIBL en sus primeros años, Cornett es hoy un jugador profesional activo, empresario y fundador de la marca deportiva DC3, reconocida por sus bates, guantes y equipo de alto rendimiento.
