SOMETIMES LOSING IS A WIN!

Guatemala City, Guatemala – The Guatemalan National Team defeated the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League in the international series (3-2) that was played at the Enrique “Trapo” Torrebiarte Stadium in Guatemala City. However, not all was lost, because 18 out of 20 players from PRIBL selection signed contracts to play in the Guatemala Professional Winter League.

"This is what is all about, giving new opportunities to our players," said Carlos Nuñez, the president and founder of the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League. I have always believed that if you want to be successful in baseball as a player, you need to find a way to be consistent, and playing only during the summer does not help at all, that is why people that play Winter Leagues tend to have longer careers.”

PRIBL Baseball organization has a track of more than 10 years, with over 300 players signed at different professional baseball levels. The players signed in Guatemala Winter League were:
