SANTIAGO TO MANAGE IN GUATEMALA

AGUADA, PR – Pascual Santiago had a successful season winning the Championship of the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League the inaugural season. After being named Manager of the Year, he was assigned to manage the team that going to represent the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League in an International Series against the Guatemala National Team in October. After the International Series, Pascual will stay in Guatemala to take another challenge, this time in the Guatemala Winter League.

"We are very happy to see Pascual's success," said Carlos Nuñez, the president and founder of the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball League. “I am sure that he is going to create an impact in Guatemalan baseball.”

Pascual will manage Marineros' team in the Guatemala Winter League. He will become the first foreign manager in the history of the league.

"Thanks to Juan Berger and Rhabarandhi Vielman for providing me the opportunity to belong to such a prestigious organization," said Pascual Santiago. “Without a doubt, having been successful in the Puerto Rico Independent League helped me to obtain this position and for that, I have to thank Carlos Nuñez who trusted in my work.”
